A User Experience Review is a great tool to help you spot possible areas of improvement on your website. Clickable Bliss offers a pre-packaged review service that can help companies get a quick, focused and unbiased report that can help you figure out what may and may not be working on your website, as well as possible solutions that can help.

Companies who commission a User Experience Review will:

  • Prioritize the features and sections of their website that mean the most to them, which will be the features and sections we will spend the most time analyzing.
  • Receive a multi-page report with detailed notes and annotated screenshots that point out areas that can be changed to improve the user experience and usability of the site.
  • Have the option for a closing phone call to review the report and answer any related questions.

User Experience Reviews in this pre-packaged service are available for $600 and have a turnaround time of about a week. Actual time spent reviewing the site (outside of writing up the report and participating in the phone calls) is limited to about a half a day, which is why we have you prioritize what you are looking for feedback on the most. If you think more time will be needed and would like to commission a custom-length review please don’t hesitate to contact us.

How the reviews work

1. Fill out and submit the questionnaire.

To get started we ask that you fill out this questionnaire that will help us get a feel for you, your company and the purpose of its website. Upon receiving of the questionnaire, we will send you a kick-off invoice for half of the review price and make arrangements for our opening call.

2. Participate in an opening phone call.

During the opening phone call there will be an opportunity for both parties to ask questions and share notes on what the focus of the review shall be.

3. Conduct the review and create the report.

After reading your questionnaire responses and getting other information we need from the opening phone call, we will conduct the actual review, taking lots of notes and screenshots as we accomplish the major tasks your site is built for. Finally, we’ll polish the notes and screenshots into the report itself.

4. Send a copy of the report.

You’ll receive your copy of the report via email along with a second invoice for the remaining $300.

5. Participate in a closing phone call.

After you’ve had some time to digest the report, you are invited to request a closing phone call to ask any new questions that have come up from the report. If you need assistance implementing any of the suggested changes or additions we can discuss that too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Isn’t this something we can do in-house? Why do we need to hire someone outside of the company?
If you built the website, were involved in its design or work for the company, you are tainted. Despite your best intentions it’s going to be very difficult for you to step into the shoes of a typical user who does not know much about your site or your company. By working with Clickable Bliss (or any other usability service) you are allowing for an unbiased review of the site. We aren’t aware of the company politics that were involved in choosing between design decision A or B and thus our analysis of how it affects the user experience is as honest of an opinion as you can get.
This seems really cheap; other firms charge thousands of dollars for similar services. What’s the deal?
Yes, this is a very reasonably priced service. We don’t consider it cheap, but rather scaled. Those firms are quoting significant costs because they are selling a longer review cycle, anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. This, on the other hand, is about a day’s worth of cycle. The nice result of course is that smaller companies can afford it and in that day we can nab lots of low hanging “usability fruit.” For lots of sites, a few fixes to the most popular areas can make a big difference. It’s not about fixing every little problem in one big re-design, it’s about lots of small fixes over time. That is what this type of product encourages.
